What does an SEO consultant do?
An SEO consultant guides the planned implementation of tried-and-tested, industry-specific strategies, whether you have an in-house SEO or marketing specialist or not. In short, this covers:
SEO integrations
Search Console, Google Analytics and the SEO plugins or configuration a site needs, set up according to its infrastructure.
Keyword research
Identifying the keywords that convert by analyzing competitors and the sector with dedicated SEO software.
On-page & on-site SEO
Internal link optimization, meta title and description improvements, and content structure aligned with search intent.
Technical SEO
3xx/4xx/5xx status codes, site speed, mobile compatibility, indexing, URL structure, JavaScript rendering, crawl budget.
Off-page SEO
Detecting and disavowing harmful links, analyzing competitor backlinks and building a clean, relevant backlink strategy.
Content strategy
Heading hierarchy, content quality and search-intent optimization, keyword coverage, and briefing for content writers.
AI search visibility (GEO)
Structuring content and technical signals so your business can be cited in Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and other AI answer engines.
If you don’t have a team member to implement these recommendations, I can also carry out the technical fixes and content work directly, instead of consulting only.
Consulting or full implementation?
Both are possible, and the right model depends on your team. If you already have people who can implement a strategy, consulting works well: I set the direction, prioritize the work and review it with your team on a regular basis. If you don’t have that capacity, I can run the whole process myself, from technical fixes to content production.
The process I follow for every project, from the initial audit to monthly reporting, is described in more detail on the About page.
How pricing works
There’s no fixed package price. Scope and budget depend on the site’s current state, the competitiveness of the target keywords and the amount of monthly work required; a proposal follows the initial audit, not the other way around.
Principles
- No ranking guarantees. Google’s ranking is an algorithm output that neither side fully controls. What I do commit to is a transparent process and measurable tracking.
- Proposal after the audit. Pricing a site before seeing it misleads both sides; scope and cost are agreed in writing after the initial review.
- One point of contact. The person who sets the strategy is the same person who runs it day to day.
- One client per industry, per city. I don’t work with two directly competing businesses in the same city and sector.
Local SEO
For businesses that depend on a physical location or service area, local search and Google Maps visibility are usually the highest-converting part of SEO. See the dedicated Local SEO page for what that work covers.
